Company co-founder, Les Dynes says, “The more I looked into it, the more I saw that the food that we’re getting and that we think is healthy, is actually grown with artificial fertilizers and chemicals and can actually be damaging to the body.”

He believes that people should eat more natural foods with about 70 to 80 per cent of their diet organically grown without agricultural chemical sprays and artificial fertilizers.

After being diagnosed in 1982 with cancer and undergoing 3 years of medical treatment that did not heal or control his disease, he changed his diet to include young green barley grass leaves and colloidal minerals. Within 3 months, his health improved dramatically.

When he was well again, Les and his wife Patti, founded S.A.F.E. Foods™ to provide organically grown ‘live’ whole foods, naturopathically sound organic herbal extracts and natural skin, hair and body care products at realistic prices to encourage and educate families to include more raw nutritious food into their diet and to use skin and body products without harmful ingredients.
