Because of manufacturing processes, tablets can sometimes prove too difficult for the digestive system - especially an impaired digestive system - to break down and digest.

These tablets have been known to go straight through the body’s digestive system whole - without even the coating being broken!

Relatively inexpensive multi-vitamin tablets purchased over the counter usually contain only a limited number of low cost metallic mineral salts that are supposed to break down and be absorbed by the intestinal tract.

This rarely happens, however, and even when they do break apart they form positively charged metallic ions that are repelled by the positively charged lining of the digestive system (just like a magnet).
